Description

French bistro chairs designed by Baumann in the 1960's and hugely inspired by scandinavian style. Baumann was extremely famous along with Thonet and Fisher for manufacturing "bent wood" furniture for restaurants, hotels, hospitals and offices. In 1901 the label " La chaise de France" was created to protect french manufacturers against imitation products. These chairs like most of the Baumann furniture are made of Beech wood for its ability to be bent. The chairs have vinyl seating which shows wear, tears and rips so you could either leave them as they or recover them to your own taste. The chairs are structurally sound and solid. All are stamped with the Baumann mark.
